Web car shows are increasingly popular. Just check out the viewer stats of FastLaneDaily on YouTube. And like every other car review clip gets compared to TopGear, FLD has become the car web channel reference.
The only show which has rivaled FLD in fun and quirkyness has been auto123 with Donna Mei-Ling Park. Similarly to FLD you needed to get used to the format and mostly to Donna: auto123's geeky, girly host. At first she seemed awkward but grew well into her role. She really became Canada's equivalent to NY's FLD host Derek D.
A couple of months ago they announced the end of season "one". But according to their facebook page, there will be no more season 2. Auto123 has become a website centered car source with reviews, blog etc. And as such, they post some info clips from time to time. What a pity. Dear FLD team, how about a spin-off with Donna? Sign her up before others do :-)
